I haven't really updated this blog in a fuckin' long time.
I didn't even remember I had a blog anymore, until a dude in IRC asked me if I had a blog, and then I actually remembed I had a blog, or whatever you wanna call this worthless site.
So, I'm gonna try to keep writing more often to let people know what I am up to.
So what have I been doing in the meantime? Well, like any true geek, I have been a lazy bitch and did nothing worthwhile to show.
I have been studying 3D for past months. I coded some stupid demos using OGRE 3D, which is a very nice engine by the way. But then I started having the Low-Level syndrome (TM) and bought a book on 3D math. The book is called 3D Math Primer for Graphics and Game Development and is worth every penny. If you really want to get to know how 3D graphics work under-the-hood, then buy this book right now. Dude, I really mean it!
While it won't cover everything there is to know, it teaches how to work with vectors and matrices, how all the 3D pipeline stages work and even provides sample C++ code. Recommended.
I am still finishing studying this book, but in the meanwhile I've started coding a 3D Software Rasterizer to apply all the knowledge I got with the book along with writing an article for the Portuguese programming magazine Revista PROGRAMAR.

Ugly, ugly, ugly graphs! :)
Fortunately this is being fixed, here's a WIP:

Gconf-editor

This is the Gconf-editor, an application that lets you modify the GNOME desktop & apps configuration. It is a graphical frontend for GConf. So what are the problems with it?
- Hardcoded icon themes
- Needs restart to update theme
First post.
I've never really blogged before so this is my first real blog post.
I am a Computer Science student and a free software supporter.
This is where I'm gonna post about the things I'm doing, the problems I see in the GNOME / Linux, and some general ramblings about the state of the world, the color of the sky...
